World renowned trumpet pedagogue and brass teacher, Kristian Steenstrup, shows how fast anyone can improve his/ her playing, if you do it right. Steenstrup has been recognized among players from all around the world for his skills to bring back the right habits and practice patterns to players at all levels. In Masterclass no 2 he shows how to prepare 3 of the most used audition pieces for trumpet, Mahler 5, Alpine Symphony and Bartok Concert for Orchestra. Kristian Steenstrup was born in 1966. He studied at The Royal Academy of Music (Aarhus) and at Northwestern University (Chicago) with Vincent Cichowicz and with legendary brass specialist Arnold Jacobs. Kristian Steenstrup masterclass is a valuable video for teachers and students. It is impressive how quickly Kristian is able to analyze performance problems and provide quick, practical solutions that instantly improve the students performance. Students in these masterclasses are all excellent performers, which makes it even more impressive how much better they sound with Kristian's guidance.
