With Stefan I found myself a great teacher who can teach me Balkan music right from the source. He is both a wonderful musician, aswell as a dedicated and friendly teacher, who is familiar with different Balkan styles. From the first lesson on he was able to tell me what was necessary to improve my playing. Stefan has a goal in mind with every piece he selects for me and always surprises me with a beautiful new melody. For me it’s helpful that he provides me with good sheetmusic, with ornaments and fingering, but also that he encourages me to put this aside as quickly as possible. He’s paying attention to all aspects of the music, melodies, ornaments, harmony, rhythms, tone scales and technical things. I highly recommend Stefan as a teacher to. Stefan did a fantastic job with me. I've improved so much that people are asking me how I learned so much so fast. I have been playing accordion off and on for years with only self-study. A few months ago I began looking for teachers, hoping to add some structureto my practice. My wife found Stefan, thought he would be a good match, and surprised me with my first lesson. I was a little unsure how an online lesson would work, but during the first session, Stefan was able adjust my fingering and posture, and I noticed some immediate improvements. After about 10 lessons I'm still learning a lot from Stefan - he is extremely patient, picks challenging pieces without overwhelming me, and follows up each lesson with extra recordings. Stefan has an extensive repertoire of Balkan music and teaches me tunes using a mix of sheet music and playing-by-ear, which is well suited to my learning style. He has also mastered classical styles and would work with any student to make sure they are getting what they want out of each lesson. I give him my full recommendation for students at any level!

Stefan is the best teacher to work with. I recommend him while heartedly. Has talent, excellent musical ear and solid technique. On top of that he has a ton of patience and he takes his time until you understand the timing, the phrasing, the ornamentation and how to add bass on top of that.
