Mark Hampson is without doubt one of the people who has most influenced my development as a musician and artist. His educational work stresses the need to find and exploit as much as possible the individual personality of each student. Furthermore Mark has taught me that our mind and capacity to imagine has no limits, taking visualisation as a way of linking mind and body. This has radically changed my concept for daily practise, technique and musicality, resulting in a much more efficient and natural focus.
What a fantastic idea it is for Mark to use playwithapro to share his wealth of experience and expertise with the world!! I first met Mark on a Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy course where Mark acted as my mentor. Those two weeks were spent under Mark's guidance where I benefited greatly not only from Mark's direct teaching but also from his advice on all matters pertaining to a life in music. His advice has helped me greatly in pointing me in the right direction as I take the next step in my musical career. I use Mark's playing concepts not just in my daily trombone playing but also in my own teaching. It's so important to have great musical educators in our community and playwithapro negates the geographical barriers that used to stand in the way. I would highly recommend Mark's teaching not just to aspiring trombone players but to all brass players at any level!!
Perfecting sound concept in the mind, meticulous work on the tone and relaxed and full working breathing technique..these are just a few aspects of Mark Hampson's masterclasses."Close your eyes and imagine your most important musical reference standing next to you and watch yourself playing in exactly the same way..now play"- Mark once said in a lesson.Don't lose the chance of being influenced by the great experience of an excellent musician, awesome bass trombonist and really inspiring person full of vitality!
He can analyze and study your own performance and identify what is the problem and find the way to improve quickly, every time you can get more knowledge in a class and the best is that you always enjoy the class
