Hello, I'm Aaron Albert, bass trombonist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, as well as
a Shires artist, and an Ultimate Brass artist.
I am in my fourth season as bass trombonist in the Hong Kong Philharmonic playing varied orchestral repertoire with world-class conductors. I am also the bass trombone teacher and trombone ensemble director at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong.
I am very passionate about trombone, and I love sharing it with others. I have had many influential teachers help me achieve my goals in music, and I hope to do the same for my students as well.
Everyone has a unique music voice. My goal is for trombone students to find their own voice allowing them to succeed in the competitive job market. After lessons, students should feel more confident in their ability to improve on their own. We will use etudes, solos, excerpts as well as in-depth warmup and maintence routines to prepare you for recitals, auditions and competitions.
Our lessons will be kept honest by using vital tools - metronome, tuning drones, phone video and audio recordings, and a mirror for embouchure work.
Biography: Aaron Albert was appointed as bass trombonist for the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 2020. He has also held the bass trombone position in the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, and has played with orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra. He has performed under the baton of Jaap van Zweden, Franz Welser-Möst, Fabio Luisi, Alan Gilbert, Paavo Jarvi, Herbert Blomstedt and others. Aaron recieved his Bachelor's Degree in Bass Trombone Performance from The Juilliard School.
