My name is Viveca and I'm a swedish flute player, playing in Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra.

I studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and at CNSM in Lyon with Philippe Bernold.

I've been working in Copenhagen Philharmonic orchestra since 2013 and I won the position as piccolo player in 2014. My piccolo studies have been mainly with Russell Itani (Danish National Orchestra) and Vincent Cortvrint (Royal Concertgebouw orchestra).

As a musician, I think it's very important and a real pleasure to pass on your knowledge to others. The best feeling is when you tell something to a student, and it works. It's very inspiring to teach, and you learn a lot about yourself!

Experience & Education

    Flute/piccolo
My role in the orchestra is to play tutti flute with obligation to play piccolo. This is a fun chair to sit on. You must be a confident solo player as well as someone who can blend with the strings, and a stabile support to the solo flute.

Reviews

KATE May

The introductory lesson was very short and there were some technical hitches (happily resolved) but all in all I was very pleased. Viveca gave me some very useful advice. After I have put some of the advice into practice I hope to have further lessons before very long.
