I was born in 1984 in the Netherlands and completed my studies at the Maastricht Academy of Music under Will Sanders and Willy Bessems. In addition, I had lessons with Professor Markus Maskunity in Hannover. During my studies, I was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. Following an internship with the Bochum Symphony Orchestra, and a fixed-term contract with the Lower Rhine Symphony Orchestra of Mönchengladbach-Krefeld, I was awarded a tenured position as horn player in the Lower Saxony State Orchestra of Hannover. Since 2011 I am Horn player in the State Opera of Hamburg/Philharmonic State Orchestra of Hamburg.

In addition, I have participated in projects with the NDR Symphony Orchestra Hamburg, the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin, the NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Hannover, the Bavarian State Orchestra Munich, and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam.

I teach french horn at the Hochschule für Musik Theater und Medien in Hannover and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Cologne and Aachen. I also prepare horn students für orchestral and university auditions.

In the last 10 years, I gave national and international concerts and master classes, for example in Denmark, Holland, Sweden, Finland, Spain, the Canarian Islands, Colombia, Chile, Brazil and Japan. I organise international master classes for Horn, Oboe and Trumpet (www.germanmasterclasses.com) and I am also a brass coach for several national youth orchestras and jury member of national and internal music competitions.
