I’m the principal Tuba of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. I would be happy to help on improving breathing, sound and musical styles.
I have been teaching for 16 years at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and had the privilege to work with very talented young tuba players from all corners of the world. Also, through my travelling with the Concertgebouw Orchestra I have given many international masterclasses, with and for, classes of the best tuba colleagues in the world. In my teaching I strive to pass on the great teaching of Arnold Jacobs. It is my believe that we should aim for more control over our instrument much more through the brain, then through the body.
