My name is Pepito Ros and I’m a researcher, a composer and saxophone teacher at Bolzano Conservatoire (Italy).
I've graduated from the "G.B.Martini" Conservatoire in Bologna and subsequently from the Paris European Conservatoire in Saxophone and Chamber Music under the guidance of Bruno Totaro.
After 25 years of experience in teaching I have identified and fine-tuned a Method of learning music which helps the musician significantly become a better performer.
Neuroscience has recently shown clearly how different areas of the brain are specialized in specific activities, yet interact. My method was born from the realization that by reading music in an unconventional manner, different areas of the brain are stimulated and harmonized.
Specific training of these areas means their connection remains active. Through this procedure, the player will benefit from improved sight reading, memorization and will shorten the time needed for the preparation of new pieces.
Attention and concentration skills, as well as open-mindedness will be refined.
The player will connect and tune in more easily with the other members of an ensemble or orchestra. The benefits of this method will bring the ensemble to express itself at its best. Whatʼs more the harmonization of different areas of the brain allows its expansion of creativity, which can be used according to where interests lie (performance, improvisation and composing).
We could say that this is a method for learning to read music in a global, holistic and enjoyable way. As it has no musical boundaries this method can be enjoyed by any type of musician.
