Nikola Ćirić, young solo horn of the Belgrade Philharmonic and already aclaimed artist, was born in 1992 in Niš, Serbia. After receiving primary and secondary music education in his hometow, he pursued undergraduate and Master studies at the Novi Sad Academy of Arts, with Prof. Nenad Vasić.

He completed postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria), where his mentor was Prof. Radovan Vlatković, one of the best horn players in the world. He attended one month long summer school in Santander (Spain) which was organized by Escuela de musica Reina Sofia Madrid.

International career of this artist includes concerts in more than 20 countries in Europe, South America and Asia, recordings for ORF, RTS, RTV, numerous recordings of movie and ballet music.

As a soloist, he has appeared with the National Symphony orchestra of Paraguay, Harbin Symphony Orchestra (China), Orchestra Musica Sacra Buenos Aires (Argentina), Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, chamber orchestra of Bunt festival (Serbia) and Niš Symphony Orchestra. Collaborations also include the Bayreuth Youth Festival Orchestra (Germany), the Mozarteum University Symphony Orchestra (Austria), National youth orchestra of Romania, Orchestra of the Encuentro Festival (Spain) and many other ensembles in Serbia and abroad. Ciric appeared as a guest Principal horn with Harbin Symphony orchestra for their debut at Salzburg festival in 2019.

As an orchestral musician, Nikola has appeared with emminent artists such as Zubin Mehta, Krzysztof Penderecki, Cristian Mandeal, Emmanuel Pahud, Stefan Dohr, Steven Iserlis, Martin Fröst, Heinrich Schif, while his chamber music collaborations have included acclaimed artists such as Radovan Vlatković, Matthias Racz, Pascal Moragues and Hansjörg Schellenberger.


In December 2017 Nikola appeared as a soloist with Radovan Vlatkovic and Belgrade Philharmonic playing Rosetti double horn concerto.

Nikola Ćirić participated as a lecturer in the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, as well as in the Belgrade Philharmonic’s First Orchestral Academy when he was only 24 years old. He held masterclasses in England, Paraguay, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, Switzerland, China where he spoke about managing stress beside working with young horn players. Also, Ciric was a foreign expert at China Conservatory of music and Principal horn of Orchestra Academia China in 2019-2020 season.

He is a recipient of the Novi Sad University Award for excellent achievements in arts in 2015, as well as a laureate of many national and international competitions.

Nikola was trained by exceptional tutors, including Luca Benucci, Andre Cazalet, Boštjan Lipovšek, Michael Höltzel.

Nikola Ćirić has been a long-term casual member of the Serbian National Theater Opera in Novi Sad. In the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, he works as the principal horn.
