As a firm believer in the education of today’s youth, I am involved in many education-based projects. I am the Alumni Advisor for Utah Youth Orchestras and Ensembles and have been a woodwind coach for both the Utah Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Utah Youth Philharmonic. I also taught weekly as the flute coach for San Marino Middle School and for the Young Musicians Mentor Program for many years.

I had the wonderful opportunity to be a mentor for two years with YOLA (Youth Orchestra LA) partnered with The Harmony Project and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Additionally, have taught privately for ten years. Attention to musicality, music theory, performance technique and making learning enjoyable are key elements of every lesson. These necessary tools, along with my experience of attending the Colburn Conservatory of Music and the University of Southern California, as well as studying with some of the greatest flutists in the world, will give my students all they need to succeed as a flutist and garner a deeper appreciation for music.
