I am Violinist in the Bavarian Radio Orchestra Munich (Münchner Rundfunkorchester)
with over 15 years of experience teaching all levels
About me,
My Name is Emmanuel Hahn i was born in Munich in 1984 to German-French parents. I I received my first violin lessons at the age of six from my father Ulrich Hahn and later from Jorge Sutil (Munich Philharmonic Orchestra). This was accompanied by equally intensive piano lessons with Simon Gourari, Alla von Buch and Christina Kozel. At the age of 17 i was given the opportunity to study in Ingolf Turban's violin class as part of the program for gifted students at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. I then continued my studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin with Ulf Wallin and completed my studies at the Berlin University of the Arts with Heime Müller.
With my string quartet, the Arnon Quartet, founded in 2008, I studied chamber music intensively with internationally renowned ensembles and artists, such as the Artemis Quartet, the Vogler Quartet, the Kuss Quartet, the Emerson String Quartet, the Orlando String Quartet and in the chamber music class of Eberhard Feltz. Winning the special prize at the 3rd European Chamber Music Competition in Karlsruhe was followed by numerous concerts, including in Japan, Brazil and France, as well as at festivals in Germany (such as the Otzberg Summer Concerts). The quartet also initiated a concert series on Berlin nightlife stages to bring string quartet music to a wider audience.
I was an academist at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and played regularly in various orchestras, including the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the NDR Radiophilharmonie, the Kammerorchester Heilbronn, the Camerata Nordica (Sweden), the KlangVerwaltung in Munich, and the Bayerische Kammerphilharmonie.
From 2010 to 2014,i held a temporary contract in the first violins of the Munich Radio Orchestra. In the 2016/2017 season, i served as a guest in the position of Deputy Principal in the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin.
I joined the Munich Radio Orchestra in January 2018 in the second violins group.
i love teaching violin! It is such a diverse and sonorous instrument. I have a lot of experience in both chamber music and audition preparation. Beginners are also very welcome. I look forward to sharing with you my joy of making music and a solid technical foundation
