I love earning a living from playing the trombone and I hope that some of this enthusiasm rubs off on those around me!
Having grown up in a very supportive but non-musical family, I am a great believer in helping those learning the trombone to help themselves: when I teach, I make it clear that I offer guidance and opinions, which need to be built on by the student. I also do my best to ensure the student knows what and how to practice, as I remember how daunting it can feel in an empty room with a big ‘to do’ list!
