I perform as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician, and teach at The University of Missouri, Flutes By the Sea, and PRIZM Festival
After I graduated from Juilliard with an undergraduate and graduate degree, I was a fellow at the New World Symphony for three years. I then had the privilege of performing with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra as Acting Co-Principal Flute from 2008-2009. Since then I have performed as Guest Principal Flute with Seoul Philharmonic, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, and Bergen Philharmonic ,as well as Guest Piccolo with St. Louis Symphony. I am a Powell Artist and play a handmade 14K Powell with a platinum headjoint.
I'm now the Flute Professor at The University of Missouri and also teach at Flutes by the Sea, PRIZM International Chamber Festival, and in masterclasses across the U.S.
I've worked very hard to become a "Pro" and because of that I can explain, help problem solve, and demonstrate for my students. Whether your low register isn't reliable or you're having trouble interpreting the Nielsen Concerto, I'll help you with motivation, technical aspects, and finding your muse.

I'll make you work hard but I'm also positive and supportive!
My lesson with Alice Dade was great! She was able to diagnose my problems right away and suggested exercises to fix them. After trying them out I am confident that with regular practice I will get the results I want. Her friendly and down-to-earth approach made me very comfortable and facilitated a great learning experience. I am planning on taking more lessons with her in the future and highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve on their flute playing.
