Hi! My name is Alessia and I'm a professional opera singer, working in Europe. I'd love to help you improve your voice and technique :)

Teaching is a wonderful and enriching experience for me and I would love to help you discover your voice, improve your skills/technique and/or prepare for a specific goal (such as admission to university or taking part in a competition). It would be a pleasure to share my skills and experience with you. I'm talking: posture, breath and support (the foundation on which everything else is build upon), as well as resonance, intonation, expression and of course... music!

Allow me to briefly introduce myself:

I grew up bilingual with Italian and German on beautiful Lake Como in Italy and enjoyed a very musical upbringing. I completed my voice studies at the Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin, Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona and the excellency program „Barock Vokal“ at Hochschule für Musik Mainz. Previous to that I studied violin at the Conservatorio „G.Verdi“ in Como, as well as History of Art and Musicology at the University of Vienna.
In 2015, still a student, I gave my debut with the world-famous Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra (Menotti/The Telephone). As a winner of the Schloss Rheinsberg Festival competition, I sang the role of Michaela (Bizet/Carmen) at the festival in summer 2017. The following year I sang my first Mimì (Puccini/La Bohème) in concert at Konzerthaus Berlin.
Net to opera, I also really enjoy concert repertoire and chamber music. In 2018 I celebrated my Dartington Festival (UK) debut, jumping in as Eve in Haydn’s Creation directed by Dame Jane Glover. As a Lied recital singer, I enjoy a long lasting collaboration with pianists Maria Yulin and Alissa Firsova, with whom I regularly perform across Germany and France.
In early 2020 I returned to the Berlin Philharmonic as Cercatrice in Puccini’s „Suor Angelica“ conducted by Kirill Petrenko, then came the pandemic...
I look forward to being able to perform again soon - my next engagements include Grilletta (Haydn/Lo speziale) in various German theatres with Lautten Compagney Berlin, as well as my debut as Rosalinde (J. Strauß/Die Fledermaus) at Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen and my return to Konzerthaus Berlin as the Narrator in „Der Grüffelo“ by Iván Fischer.

While I am not performing, I have more time to dedicate to teaching which I also really love. I am fluent in English, Italian and German and speak good French - in case some of you also wish to work on their diction ;)

I look forward to working with you!
